We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team and work on a variety of interesting data projects and consulting missions. If you are passionate about Machine Learning and AI, this is the place for you.

As a Data Scientist at Prophecy Labs, you will play a key role helping our clients  in the process of generating value from data. You will not only be generating insights from data, but also making sure that the actions from those insights are timely, reliable and robust. Whether it’s investigating pricing models, market trends or classification tasks, you will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live.

Prophecy Labs is a young startup founded by passionate Data Experts. Your team members will be experienced Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers from around the globe, each with a critical mindset and a healthy dose of fun. We value honesty, transparency, and open communication. 

🇪🇺 Our offices are located in the center of Brussels, in the beautiful Gare Maritime. With our office, we strive to create the ideal breeding ground to nurture creativity and innovation. As a Consultant, you will occasionally be doing on-site visits at our clients. However, most of our work is done remotely. 

🔎 The job requires:

• Masters degree or PhD in artificial intelligence, computer science, (applied) mathematics, statistics, statistics, bioinformatics, physics, engineering or any related field.
• Proven experience in a field related to Data Science.
• Solid proficiency in Python
• Experience with working with both structured and unstructured data
• Ability to turn business requirements into useful data science outcomes.
• Experience with version control
• You speak English fluently, a word of Dutch or French is a plus.
• You approach problems with a pragmatic mindset

🍰 Nice to haves:

• You are excellent in Python, knowledge of R or Scala is a bonus.
• You have  experience with cloud technologies (e.g. GCP, Azure or AWS)
